Bluegrass BioDiesel was founded in 2008 by a group of private investors who shared a single belief – i.e., that through creativity and innovation, sound business opportunities can be developed that are truly sustainable – from a “triple bottom line” perspective:
- Environmentally Sound – utilizing renewable and waste feedstocks as a source of raw material and producing biodiesel in an energy efficient manner with few emissions
- Socially Responsible – providing well paying jobs and a tax base for the local communities in which we operate
- AND, Economically Prosperous – producing low cost, economically viable, products that are competitive in the marketplace.
Through our innovative engineering and technology, Bluegrass BioDiesel has the capability of utilizing multiple feedstock sources in the production of high quality B100 grade biodiesel fuel and custom blends according to rigid standards.

Jim Johnson - Managing Member LLC
Jim Johnson is President and CEO of JE Johnson Inc, a company founded in 1979, that provides design, fabrication, installation and service of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, piping and mechanical systems to the commercial, industrial and institutional markets. Johnson received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.
Scott Noesen – Senior Advisor and Member LLC
Scott Noesen is President and CEO of WorldView Consulting, a firm specializing in practical sustainability management advice for firms looking to develop business opportunities that are environmentally sound, socially responsible, and economically viable. Previous to this job, Scott was Global Director for Sustainable Development at The Dow Chemical Company
